Goal 2: Complete a Goal

Watching: The Perfect Proposal on TLC.
Listening: Ghetto Blaster - Choose Your Own Adventure
Reading: Day's Text.

There is one bid on my jeans and it's not you. Can you please get on that? I wasn't joking. 2 days left!!

I had one singular goal this week: get 30 hours of field service time in. Remember when my goals used to mean something? Monday started off so well, we got a nice full day in, not too long, but its okay because we were going to be out all week. And then Tuesday my alarms went off and it was the worst noise(s) in the world so I turned them all off and went back to bed. Oops. And of course that morning I missed the most awesome call of them all.* [See footnote to read about this awesome call that wasn't mine because I'm fundamentally lazy.] Figures!! Wednesday I couldn't stand Beth up two weeks in a row so I went out in the rainiest foggiest weather and again, nice full day, but if we didn't push it til 5 it was okay because I had a long 9-5 day planned with Szalma. Until J canceled leaving my Friday unexpectedly, alarmingly free. But at least I had plans with Megs for Thursday after her bookstudy. Until I woke up in the middle of her bookstudy, not wanting to drive seriously across town for 2 hours of service. So I'm here, hoping to get in touch with Lynay to write some letters this afternoon. And trying to make crazy 12-hour plans for Friday. I know its not all about the time, but when you know that for the next couple of weeks getting adjusted to a new job is going to wreak havoc on your service life, it does mostly become all about the time. And boy do I need some.

The first sentence was kinda of a misnomer though; I had more than one goal this week. The first was of course, was to rack up crazy service time. The second was to finish my first scarf that I knitted. It's beautiful. It's like your child; even if everyone else thinks its ugly, you think it will win many pageants. Except no one thinks my baby is ugly! At least not to my face. My dad was like, "no way that's what you knitted. You bought that right?" This after weeks of wondering why anyone would spend their time knitting. I think I saw him eyeing it a couple times and planning a few outfits. I'm now on the hunt for more masculine yarn for Niko, Jimmy and Ryan. So you totally want to see the scarf now, right? Alright, I'm a sucker. Here's my baby.

Also another goal was to finish my parents bootleg website. I did it in FrontPage (my first website using it) and now I'm hooked. It's totally like a crib sheet for websites. Everything is so easy with it. Here is their new website: goodlife4less.com. Click on webmaster, yea it goes to me! Thats what I am. A master, of the web. I tried Webministress but, not so much with the liking of the title. And they are my secondary employer now. Note to readers: never live with your employer. They are even more demanding and insist that any changes can be done at once, even when you are sleeping, because they own you.

Tuesday evening I got two suspcious calls. And for the first time I answered the phone both times! I've been getting such good news from unrecognizable numbers I decided to go with the flow. The first was a call from DJ Presstone's mom about free Pistons tickets for a Wednesday night game against the Hornets. Immediate conflict set in. I love the Pistons, everyone knows that I do! But this is a new awesome season of Alias, which everyone knows I love equally, if not more on some nights. I accepted the tickets and dealt with the volley between the game and the show. In the end, you know the show won out! I'm no sucker. The results may have been different if a)they were playing a team better than 4-30; b) I hadn't been out in service in crappy weather all day with a headache the size of the Andes mountains; c) they were playing the Lakers and the seats were on the court and I was so close I could stick my leg out and trip Kobe; d) the season of Alias was a lost cause and blah blah blah that doesn't matter because I would never think that. So I stayed in with my girls, we drank wine, we watched Alias and then Project Runway. Good night! Of course still had the killer headache but was too lazy to take anything, I slept in and missed service, so maybe not so good. But yay HotVaughnAccents and SillyJerseySydney made up for it. Does anyone want to buy me Season 2 on DVD? I forgot all about Action! Will!

[Footnote: Okay here is the totally awesome experience. Brandy and Lynay went to Brandy's return visit, looking for Allen. There was no Allen, but a cutie named Shawn with a crazy New York accent answered the door. He said there was no Allen at that house, but when he saw they were still standing there probably with dissapointment in their eyes, he asked "Are you here for my study?" WHAT?? He explained that he just moved here from (insert East Coast place here) and he had just started a study when he moved. Then while here his car broke down at 8 & Coolidge, right by a KH. So he went inside to ask for help and also to ask for his study to start up again. He had a study that very day and one scheduled for this Tuesday. So he just thought the girls were early for the 1 o'clock study! Insane! And so awesome. I wish I was there girls.]
