smart-sane's Diaryland Diary

Born This Way

Watching: Project Runway..Wendy, you are in the final three so we can have someone to laugh at.
Listening: Jellybones. What a great word.
Reading: my own handwriting, but not very successfully.

So this is what busy at work feels like! Nice.

Days on the job: 19
Cutie count: 1

And I work directly with him, on the current project anyway. Probably in his mid-30s, cute telephone voice. Hey he's no Jim McPeek or that other cute guy at Eaton (Kevin something? How memorable was he!) but it'll do, pig. Right now he's kinda of demanding and on my tail about getting this research done, but all relationships go through a rough patch or two. And I need to update; we all have our priorities.

Anyway, since I am busy... busy planning one million different ways to splurge my first paycheck that is due to arrive this Friday. The new deal with the check is that I hardly get to see any of it. 1/3 to be exact. To get me through gas, food, Keane, picking up my watches and saving up for Boston. Sigh. The other 2/3's my parents shalt embezzle to "pay my bills" so that I can stay on the right track. How generous of them. But a girl can dream, and when it comes to dreams and dreamlands, the Internet is tops in fantasy shopping spree territory. Of course you have your staples like J.Crew, BananaRepublic, Urban Outfitters, Anthropologie (I forget about that store but can we say gorgeous??) Nordstroms and eBay. But I've delved into the world of Internet window-shopping and I'm more than happy to share my findings with you. I'm a reformed shopper now, I promise. But if I wasn't, this page would be shoppers paradise!

ShopBop. Designer clothes not at all discounted but beautiful to look at.

Reel-Style. All the beautiful clothes you see on Alias, Gilmore Girls or I don't know...other shows that may or may not exist. You can find most of them here. They at least identify the designer, if not provide you with a full on link so that you can buy them yourself!! Not that I would ever click. No, not me.

80s Tees. Awesome t-shirts! I totally would rock that Jem! t-shirt. And yes, even Devo.

American Couture. Because who can wear a t-shirt without Swarsoski Crystals? Not I.

Deesh. Remember that awesome t-shirt Lorelai wore with the profile of the little boy and the little girl? I'm the only one who memorizes her wardrobe? Whateves, the shirt is cute ya'll.

These are just a couple, but MG is on my back about this report. Dude, shut up, I'm shopping here!

Quoting: Austin Scarlett, booted on Project Runway.

"I was born Austin Scarlett and I think I've grown up to become that person."
